Too bad we rarely find out what these kind of trucks really sell for.

These trucks (40 and 45 series )belong to Jonathan, a club member. I drive by his place almost daily. The three he posted on craigslist really do look like they just rolled out of the assembly line. The blue bj42 i drooled over...
27 gs is less then what i put into my old 40, and it was not nearly the same level of perfection. Imo this truck is worth it.

Impossible,

There is one that looks very clean right here for ALOT less.

Nice Eric. There is a gasser just abit south of you which is equally nice:

Marcin, not trying to ditch JOnathan's rigs for sale but you got to admit what you put into a vehicle you never get back - especially in these times. Saying things like "impossible" automatically raises my BS sensors to red alert. :D

It will be far less than $27,000. ......Guess he's hoping that someone who knows nothing about LCs will waltz up 27 G notes.

I kind of agree with Marcin on this. He's likely hoping there is someone out there who wants a super clean BJ42, knowing that purchase price plus restoration on the average 25 year old Canadian BJ42 will be a lot higher. Not to mention time invested. He's not going to sell it to the average DIY cruiser enthusiast because most of us are too cheap!

Anyone ever paid for a restoration of a Land Cruiser... it's not cheap...

We've seen some people spend more than $30K to $40K and there's still stuff that needs to get done.

Every one should be able to sell anything they have ,for what ever they want;as long as there is a buyer out there that agrees with the price your in luck. Good Luck, hope you get it. Mike

For sale 1974 fj40 "Hybrid" (Burns gas and rubber!), good restoration project! Rare solid frame! Factory weight reducing holes in body! Rare carbureted high performance Chevrolet motor and transmission!

And I agree with Michael.

Well you could go out and spend 34K plus tax on a new Heep.Or spend 27K on the best off roader that can be had thats been reworked to be new.Which makes sense?

Them new heeps are pretty nice....just sayin.

As long as there is buyers for jeeps, there will be more nice cruisers for those of us that want 'em...

Yah, that's my partner Jordan (who found these rigs and got them restored in indonesia) who wrote that ad. He's got a tendancy to hyperbole and comes off sounding like a shuckster. But it's a hella nice truck anyway. Comparable rigs were selling in the USA for $35,000 USD and up...last year. Not any more though....

I've spent much much more then that asking price on my rig and it's not as nice.27 K in my opinion is a very good deal for what you get.
