I would love if both cars plugged in. I just bought a 21 Prius Prime a drive to town and back in all electric. Zero gas for 25 miles. Cold air, lots of electronics.
If I could retro the 100 series with plug in hybrid I would be interested! I really only need 200 mile range for most adventures.
Thinking back to mini trucks geared with crawl boxes for the extreme rock crawling I have often thought the Hybrid engines put out approx same HP torque as the old 4 cyl. With gearing it would be a cool combo. Many of the desert washes have a bunch of people parked with engine off. Seems like that crowd could be electric easier than the 6500 lb car camping expos.
