I finally got all the bits in to do the suspension on the GX470, and plan to do it this weekend. Thought I'd put a feeler out to see if anyone else might like to sweat to death and help a former member?

I'm pulling the rear air suspension and using MT mounts + FJC coils + 4R isolators + Radflo shocks.

Front is straightforward replacement of stock struts/coils with Radflo.

Also have to fiddle with some electronics to disable the adjustable suspension warning lights.

Would love to help Joe, but I've got a FULL dance card :(

Be sure to post before / after pics!

Hate to be yet another to say sorry Joe, but I'll be wallowing in a puddle of my own perspiration in the back of the 4Runner trying to get the rear tailgate window to work before EC4RJ. Hoping it's the motor, since I do have a spare, but I'm mentally preparing myself for another weekend spent in electrical wiring Hell.

I'm the same way Joe, after a year of no AC, I finally got off my butt to track down the leak. I'll be replacing the drier, evaporator, expansion valve, and all the o-rings this weekend. Just in time for the Hurricane Creek trip. Man, going down 40 for 5 hours with no AC and 3 women inside, would SUCK!

Lesson #1: Don't pussyfoot around with the rear air suspension, just remove everything. Spent way too much time treating it with a soft touch, then remembered I'll never need any of it again and bam - done.

FYI for all you manly-men buying GX470's for your chicas - when (not if) your rear air suspension craps outs, stock FJC rear coils + MT conversion parts are a direct fit and provide maybe 1/4" lift. I think I got 1/4" because the guy who graciously gave the springs to me for free said they were off a 2010 FJC Trail Team Edition. :)
