We have (at least some of us) have spoke about moving the Ramble to May. I think it's a great move to get away from the heat. Is there anyone out there who knows what events are scheduled for the month of may? GSMTR is the only one I can think of so far that is around that time of year. I will send out a e-mail to everyone that I have a e-mail address for. It's time to start thinking about it and decide what the club is going to do or not going to do. So that being said what do y'all think?

Although the calendar on the Superlift ORV webpage is thin at best Park Events | Superlift ORV Park, it looks like the Superlift ORV park is already scheduled for May 3 - 7 Lone Star Jeep Club’s Spring Run 2012 | Superlift ORV Park . I'm not exactly sure when the GSMRT folks have 2012 event planned, 2011 was . . . what mid-May? How would this affect those that regularly attend RLC Ramble?

Review with me, Razorback Ramble has been 1st weekend in June for how long? Correct me if I'm wrong, so 2012 event would be the weekend of June 1 - 3, 2012.

All in all, looking at difference in May and June dates is only 14 to 21 days. I'm good either way, but as long as date is in June, me and my school-bound buddy can come down earlier than if date is mid-May (final exams for 7th graders are non-missable).

March 15-18 are the dates for the Lone star round up. I was wanting to go to this but....... It would be tuff to go to 2 events basically back to back. I am not sure we can get away from June. The second weekend in June would be 8-10. We need more input but as usual no one wants to participate. I guess what I am trying to say is if you have a opinion or some input as to what RLC is going to do for the 2012 Ramble speak up! :) I know some of you are lurking out there.
 
I am such an idiot. I was thinking for some reason that the Lone Star Roundup was the month before our event. There is a chance I can make both:)
 
For the few that are looking at this we need input on what to do. Here is what I propose...... Pick the date, get a add in the Trails and on here and it be more of a meet and wheel kind of deal, no registration, no meal, no raffle just hook up with old and new friends and wheel for 3 days. And if we wanted to have a shirt I can ask Bodean if we could set up some sort of pay-pal set up so you pay for your shirt I'm advance and the someone would be responsible for passing them out. So what do y'all think?
 
That plan works. I believe you guys still have some club money, correct? Maybe buy one big raffle item (like an ARB fridge or something cool like that) and sell $2 or $5 tickets for it just on Saturday night. Do the drawing from the porch of the cabin, and buy us all beer, too! :idea:

As for the dates, the usual June dates work good for me.

The "Scott Plan" sounds good to me.
No registration fee sounds easy, question is how does it affect RLC club? I like the T-Shirt "pre-Pay" via PayPal idea alot. Josh's "one big raffle item" idea would at least give everybody a reason to "congregate" at the pavillion for the Saturday Night Social.
Date works either weekend; you pick'em
Fri, Sat, Sun
June 1 thru June 3
or
June 8 thru June 10
 
If we where to purchase a single prize I think your raffle tickets would have to be more like $10. And on the shirts I am guessing we (RLC) have a pay-pal account. So folks could pre pay us for shirts as far as printing extras it would have to be a small amount since we are not taking in any money. Not real sure what the paid member count is...I haven't payed yet. Looks like the first weekend works for everyone. What are we missing?
 
How will it effect the club..... Well not sure, don't think that we have "made" any money on one of these in a while, that being said we would be out for some shirts and a raffle prize. I think we have sufficient funds but I really don't know Gary C. Is the money man.
 
Looks like June 1-3 is the dates for the Ramble 2012
