This is all BS.:grinpimp:

All this is BS. I don't loan trailers anymore because of a problem I had, but you can use my 21' for that weekend.

Clutchee, it is the VEHICLE that is TOWING, not what is being towed that Uhaul has a problem with.

Simple formula. If the Cruiser is an 80 with a 5000 rating, it is not a tow rig for another 5000 car.

Lash's has a 10,000 # tow rating. It would pass the Uhaul smell test.

That said, you can use mine.

Yea, well funny when I was in the MS U-haul office located in Pearl & I told them I was going to use a 96 FZJ80 to tow my 86Fj60...... they said all was good.
Then getting to "BFE" NC I went to return it & they said it was a invalid tow..... seems as though looking it up with their manual ANY cruiser was a non tow.
Weather it was a 40,60 it would not fly.

Hey but what do I know...... good luck using Nolen's trailer.

Oh yea Nolen: Per U-haul site
Dolly Info:
The vehicle being towed:
Must not weigh in excess of 3,450 lbs. if it is front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and 3,900 lbs. if it is rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive
Trailer Info:
Max load: 4,000 lbs.

They look at both the tower and the tow-e. I always tell them I towing a honda civic. Gotta figgure you are own your own insurance-wise if you wreck towing something different than what you told them.

One reason the limit is so low is because those U-haul trailers weigh a ton without anything on them.

Later,

Check out the Events schedule - we're there!;)

Man, can't I have a day or two to design? JK . They will be cool I promise. Got someone working on the art now.

Later,

Kristi & I hope to make the ride.

OK guys - a 'lil update for ya. We are up to 60 trucks registered now and I know of several more that are planning to attend. I'm thinkin 80+ at this point. The park is fully booked as far as camping goes but we will squeeze more in wherever we can. The nearby KOA is getting some action as well. The Arkansas Crawlers have voluntered to take over any trail guide needs that we may have so that's off our shoulders. I've been getting some help lately from Bomar (thanks John) on contacting vendors for the "non-raffle" and we are making some headway. For those who have already stepped up I want to pass on a heartfelt THANK YOU!

Now - I need some suggestions or maybe a volunteer... Those of us who were fortunate enough to be in Gilmer in January or Katemcy in March know how well the childrens raffle went over. For me - one of the very best parts of both events! With this many rigs showing up and the time of year we are bound to have quite a few kids at our little gathering. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I see now that I should have bumped the registration fees by $5 or so to cover something like this - but it's too late to do that now. How can we raise a few hundred dollars to hold our own Rug Rat Raffle?

Cookie jar donations?
Corporate sponsor?
Rob a liquor store - (you'll be there anyway)
Other ideas????

Need some help here guys. Anybody want to step up and take this one on?

That's what I'm talkin' about! Nick (Green Lantern) has stepped up and is going to take this on (see below):

"I can help.

I've got tickets for the kids. LSLC spent about $300 and provided 50 toys to 25 kids.
I'll volunteer to bring toys and tickets. I just need five more people to pony up $50 (payable at the event) so I can buy toys. I would budget $25 per kid if you only expect a few. Do we have a count?

Sign me up and let me know your kid count.
Happy Trails! N"

Sherry and I are in for the next $50. Sherry also volunteered to go shopping Saturday morning like the gang did in Katemcy. By then we should have a fairly good idea of how many Rug Ratz we want to try to make happy.

A BIG THANK YOU to the CLC BOD for the generous donation to the Rug Ratz Raffle fund - can't tell you guys how much I appreciate it!:clap::clap::clap:
