Heard it through the grapevine that RLC will not hold the Ramble this year :frown:. How many of you would be up for a "Non Event" wheeling trip for that same time frame? I don't see why we can't go anyway. Daryl Hornsby might have something in the works. It's always the first weekend in June. Could be fun!??

Later,

That is too bad. I think that when clubs are small like ours and theirs, the pressure is on for 2-3 people to do everything and make a big showing and cool event.

Most folks like me would rather just show up and wheel with a bunch of Cruiserheads and eat and shoot the s***.

All the raffle and stuff is just extra. If it is there, it is there, but I really could care less.

We definitely need to hold the Crawl up there.

the first weekend in June is already on my calender. We gota go.

beer, food, crawlin, and no work let's go up there.

I was going to try to make it this year too...oh well... Keep me posted either way and I'll try to make it!

I doubt I am going to make GSMTR this year though. I wish they hadn't moved it into the start of my busy season. Mid-may was perfect for my schedule.

However, who knows...

I am in and I know the memphis crew will come out.

On superlift's website they already had a date blocked out so we can just use the same date.

Thanks guys. I'm workin it right now. I already have the go from the park to keep the weekend open for us and BJ is willing to cut us a deal on the fees. I have a PM to the leadership of the Razorback Landcruiser Club to make sure I don't step on any toes. Can't imaging how it would be an issue for them but wanted to do it right. Seems like we could get 20-30 rigs there, wheel, eat, drink, and enjoy each others company without all the raffle BS and still have a great weekend. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

BTW - some of you creative folks need to help me come up with a name for this non-event......:hhmm:

Agreed, Redneck Ramble sounds way to redneck for us to call it that.

I agree and don't want to use the words Razorback or Ramble without first getting the AOK from the RLC. It's been their event for several years and seems it will continue to be on even years going forward. The "Redneck" label has become associated with the Southern Cruiser Crawl and I don't think we should infringe upon their/your turf either. Keep the ideas coming though!

Yeah, but they've got us all wrong. We are really better described as a "surprisingly educated, diverse, accomplished and cultivated group of friends who drive our quirky, sophisticated Japanese vehicles through the thickets so as to enjoy the flora and the fauna" than "redneck."

IE...... Pearl River Mud Whompers

I think it's the Pearl River Mud Dawgs, isn't it?

Yes, I can see your point. "Accomplished and cultivated" would be the exact words I would use if asked to describe....... NOT:flipoff2: Don't deny your inner Redneck!:hillbilly:

We gonna play horseshoes?
