Ram Horns manifold for Ram Jet 350?

So to make this fit the Ram Jet, you need to remove the generator mount/extension from the front of the manifold. This will be true with the left side as well.

A band saw makes pretty quick work of this. ( Thank you Richard :))

Here is the manifold mounted to the engine, sans gaskets, and it clears and fits fine.

Nice! Thanks Steve. I'll look into the manifolds when I get home. I may have to just pony up and do 2.5". Stuck at work until Monday then heading to the mountains.

Sorry to hear about the weather, it's been 75 here... :flipoff2:

And thanks for the parts book pic... now I know what I'm looking for. You're the man.

Glad you have had nice weather!

Hope the pics help bud. Sorry I was not quicker on this; been pretty silly around here, even when it is -25F.

People from Sanderson swear up and down that theQP1000 will not work on the RamJet/Vortec head because of spark plug angles.

I have not purchased a set from them to see what they are talking about, however three different sales folks from Sanderson have told me this same thing.

I would love to get those QP1000; they are a top-notch product.

yup, sandersons are top notch. i used to drag race with one of their employees back in the late 80s. been to the shop a bunch of times. worth the price, that's for sure.

I have a vortec heads and the 2 1/2 inch rams horn manifold. The do fit, at least for me. What I have found is that there is very little room between the manifold and the steering shaft and I constantly burn up plug wires. This is probably a problem with timing but I can''t find it.

Also, I meant to reply that Poser is correct. GM performance no longer has the 2 1/2 inch manifolds. However GM restoration parts may. Their catalog shows 2 1/2RH at $215 and LH at around 260. I took the RH and chopped off the alt. bung like Poser did.
