I have to give props to the Raleigh 4 Wheel Parts store. I was cruising the various sites, looking for a deal on a winch for the Short Bus I picked up for the 80. I know that Stan would give me a killer deal on a Viper winch but thought I'd check to see who had deals on a Warn 9.5xp.
Found a couple deals but with over $80 in shipping, nothing that fluffed my skirt. Found 4WP's "special price in cart", free shipping to the store/home, best deal on the net I could find.
Thought I'd call the store just to see if they had one on the shelf before I clicked "buy" on the site. I talked with Brandon, he checked and had one on the shelf, matching the internet price, he pulled it off for me to pick up the next day.
As I drive in, I notice a nice looking 60 in the lot and wonder who it might be, turned out its Brandon's rig. We chit-chat, talk shop, get ready for check out and he drops another discount on me, saving me ~$500 off the site's "list" price. Friggen Sweet!
Moral of the story...Olde North State Cruisers has a friend at the Raleigh 4WP. I invited him to come out to the next Triangle meeting to buy him a beer or two for such a sweet deal...
