So I am putting on a 1" body lift on a new cruiser and instead of lowering the radiator bracketry has anyone raised the engine and trans about 1/2"? I was looking under the vehicle and it looks like I'd only need to make 3 spacers (2 engine and 1 trans). The transmission lift looks like the bolts would work with some mods to the washer and nut configuration (the studs are not replaceable). The engine spacers look like you'd have enough wiggle room in the mount to put the spacers in even though they are angled into each other. So before I start making spacers has anyone done this or have any reason not to?

Thanks,

Ryan

Why raise the drive train vs the radiator? Keep in mind you'll also need to adjust the length of the steering shaft too. There SHOULD be enough play in the coupler to get the length you need.

Thanks for the response. I actually think the drivetrain would be easier to raise IMHO. I lowered the radiator on my last body lift and was'nt a fan. Also, why not raise the drivetrain up and get the tcase higher?

Copy all on the steering shaft. The fan clearance is my last box to check.

Well, on the Cruisers the radiator is only 4 bolts (excluding the fan shroud bolts), a few hoses and the radiator comes out. The brackets are easy to remove once the radiator is out so I think that's why this approach was taken.

If you do decide to raise the drivetrain post up a thread and let us know how it goes!
