OK, folks just checked my (front - rear next) drain tubes in the sunroof pan to be sure they are not plugged. Dumped a pint in there in 10 secs with a small funnel, went straight through!
How about yours? Gonna rain soon! Better that the water doesn't end up sloshing in your rocker panels...

Btw, what (*&)*&)*&_* engineer dreamt of emptying these tubes in the panel for the water to come out of this tiny slit? Couldn't they have gotten the tubes to get all the way through and open at the bottom so it's easy to unplug....? sheesh....

oh, yeah, anything else worthwhile checking before the rains?

may try and see what happens with the rearest windowns too while I have all the trim off inside...

Yes, make sure the windows are rolled up! :flipoff2: Sorry could not resist. :D

Seriously, new wiper blades work wonders, make sure distributor seal is good, check windshield seal in the lower corners for moisture - if so reseal windshield seal, check rear window seal, plug holes in roof from removed nutserts, ...

Ohh, I forgot, apply Leatherique, liberally, to everything!!! :D

Someone has to much free time on their hands. :flipoff2:

When I removed the front fender flare on my LX, there was a drain tube that dumped out of the lower portion of the fender. I assumed it was for the sunroof, but if so sounds like it comes out at a different location than the LC's. Anyone know for sure what this drain line is?

Thanks,
Rookie2

Which side flare? I removed mine, but found no tubes...I suppose I could look under there again...

when I pour water in my front sunroof drains it comes out of the "pinch weld area" along the bottom of the door sill, I assume the tube exits somewhere in that door sill, from what I read this is same/similar to the LC

The one I took off was the DS front fender flare. The drain tube was located behind the portion of fender flare that drops down along the rear side of the wheel well and just forward of the DS door. IIRC the tube exited through the fender about 8" above a horizontal line from the rocker panel.

hmmm....
no drain tube on mine. Seems like an odd place to drain. IIRC, the flares and associated body panel was glued (with that foam adhesive stuff) down as well as being clipped and bolted in place. There didn't seem to be a good place to drain to...

Hmm...
Tis true, but I don't recall if there was glue/foam adhesive along the bottom also, which would prevent drainage. Wonder if it could be an air vent to prevent moisture behind the panels. IIRC, it had a small beed of silicone type sealant around outside edge.

Odd that your's doesn't have one.

I'll try to look again.

could this be from the air intake cowl under the windshield?

I would check your windshield gasket. I am (hopefully soon"was") getting water thru that when it rains.

where do you see the wetness?

Upper PS corner for me. Kinda strange though. Doesn't do it with the car wash or with the garden hose pointed at it. Only after 2-3 hours of driving in the pouring rain at interstate speed when the temp is chilly (think the gasket contracts or something). Not often enough to worry about.
