Can't find this answer anywhere...

Is the stock amp from a early 2000s truck without NAV compatible with the amp from a 2006 with NAV?

My amp has gone out and would like to just replace with stock...

I can't answer your question but the effort doesn'tseem worth it. A hu with Bluetooth and phone connectivity would only set you back $130. Not to mention the improved sound

Head unit/radio. Might be a good time to upgrade if you still have the stock radio. I have a Pioneer FH-P8000BT, nothing fancy but has Bluetooth, bluetooth audio, USB connect, CD player, AM/FM.

On a 2006, I think you have to leave the stock amp unit in place under the passenger seat in order to keep the navigation and or A/C control working, but you can route the audio signal from the stock amp inputs to a separate amplifier in order to potentially fix your sound problem.

In theory, you could probably keep your stock 2006 amp to run the navigation, and add the amp from a 2000 LC to amplify the audio signal.

In practice, any decent aftermarket amp available from Crutchfield or a local audio shop will do a better job of amplifying the audio signal compared to the stock amp out of a 2000 LC.

I am pretty sure you have to keep the amp under the seat to run the navigation on your 2006, but you can run the audio signal through an aftermarket amp.

MtnRacer might chime in with more details.

Hope some of this is helpful.

What I am wanting to do is replace what is there with an identical amp. Is the one from an earlier 2000s work?

My inclination is no. Your nav/radio system is probably the last generation for the LX470. Do you have Mark Levinson? Call a dealer and see if they will help you with part numbers, is my recommendation.
