Any Chance the old one could be re-cored? It's usually a lot cheaper than replacing them. If you replace it with a used one you'll probably be doing it again in a couple of years.

One other thought; IIRC I used a Chevy radiator in my old FJ40. I think the radiator from a Chevy in-line six is real close to the size of the Land Cruiser radiator and might be easier to find. In any case the radiator mount in an LC is pretty forgiving, as long as the hoses connections are on the right all you have to do is get close to the right dimensions.

I agree, the 60's radiators are all brass aren't they? Once you get to the 80 series, they started using the plastic tanks on both brass and aluminum cores (depending on years). As long you have full brass radiator, a shop should be able to flush and repair it, fairly cheaply.

If you re-core and there isn't a shop out in fallon, A1 in Reno has done good work for me in the past, and it looks like they did a decent job cleaning and repainting my fuel tank a few months ago.

A1 is the best place in Reno to take a leak isn't it?

That's where i got my FJ40 Radiator re-cored 5 or 6 years ago. No problems so far
