Understand the flush, but why the thermostat?

Think I will ask the shop to throw in the full flush since they unexplainably put the green in there. Maybe that it was already in there and I didn't know.

Think I will ask the shop to throw in the full flush since they unexplainably put the green in there. Maybe that it was already in there and I didn't know.

thermostat is cheap ($16 w/ gasket) and that's where a lot of overheating issues can start if that value gets stuck open and/or closed. So if things get gummy with your coolant, thermostat will be one of the first spots that will get messed up. plus its a cheap preventative fix.
