So I noticed I have a coolant dripping while I was on a trail and when I looked under the hood the leak was from where the upper hose connects to the radiator (see pictures). I topped it off and now trying to diagnose the issue, but I cant seem to figure out why it leaked. The hose seems fine, the clamp is on securely and after I refilled it. it dipped a little in the coolant reservoir but that may be due to just cycling through the system. i guess my question...should ai replace the hose/clamps or just clean and see what happens?

Anyone go through this?

Might be your radiator cracked which is common. Usually around the aluminum and plastic joint.

Is your battery tight? Being that close to radiator it might shift and hit the radiator neck.

I would replace the hose and use a worm-gear style clamp. I had this problem after installing new hoses on my GX, when the temp here got to around 0 degrees (probably not your current temp in AZ!). The rubber hose shrank enough relative to the 50 degree conditions that I installed it in to allow some leakage. I torqued the crap out of the worm gear clamp with a ratchet and it stopped leaking.

A new Gates hose should be around $10-15. I would also check for leaks as mentioned above. Due to the buildup, it looks like you have a very small leak that has been dripping slowly for a long time.

diag so far is that it's a bad hose clamp and when the temps got hot rather than the radiator cap letting out pressure the hose clamp did not hold. Hasnt leaked since the clamp was replaced the coolant topped off. finger crossed.
