Good afternoon everyone! Am I going crazy or should there be a hose from the coolant tank to the radiator? Pretty sure the hose blew off or something.

I started to smell burning coolant today and it prompted me to open the hood at the end of the day. Noticed a lot of that pink spray... also the tank was empty. Really mad at myself for ignoring it all day until I got home. Anyway, the engine temps didn't go past normal so I guess it wasn't too bad of a situation. I take it I have to tow it to the dealer?

There should be a nipple coming off the broken part of neck of the radiator there. It’s broken on yours. You could try to tap it and thread a nipple on and save the radiator or buy a new one. There doesn’t need to be any in the expansion tank. It’s just overflow and has no drain back to the actual radiator

There definitely needs to be coolant in the overflow, the cap has a siphon tube down to the low level of the overflow tank and coolant does move back and forth between the radiator and overflow.

A new denso radiator is like $150 or so and it's a 1 banana job, then add a piece of hose from the nipple to the overflow. Too easy.
