R12 / Freeze12 / any other 12

Anybody know anywhere in this state where they will still service this type of stuff.

Noone here in Nam will do it anymore. They all tell me i need to switch over to 134.

Needless to say i would like to keep my 12 system. It works good just been about 3-4 years since i had it serviced and it needs some more stuff added.

The only way you will be able to get R-12 is to find someone with a personal collection of it. They no longer manufacturer it and licensed business can loose their license doing it.

Changing over is relatively easy and you can buy the kit a Wal Mart.

I really don't think you have any choice.

Wow, thought i posted a reply.

Maybe i really am in space these days.

Anyway, I was hoping to go the 12 way in this but guess not .

To do it the right way what all has to be replaced besides the reciever / dryer, and fittings ?

That Redtek is supposed to be the same thing as 12.

Local mechanics here use freeze 12, if'n ya want to drive to Albemarle, I know a mechanic who does it.

If i can not get this other stuff that sounds about close enough.

And i know where that city is at to boot.
