Christmas Day.

It was on this day in 1996 that I originally got my Rig of Mortis on the road, so I'm having a glass of cheer for all of my daily driver's memories.

Long live the R.O.M.

...been in the slow lane ever since.

Cheers to all my Sisters and Brothers out there in the Land Cruiser community, you're a great bunch!

Please share some additional photos of ROM. I need examples for my chequebook.

Congrats on 12 years of cruiser addiction.

Your anniversary message really made a point to me and perhaps for all cruiserheads to ponder. Twelve years! That could be the life span of the average Detroit POS! But when you got it, it was already a decade or so of age. What it meant to me was that cruiser addiction is a journey and not a destination. ANd, the "dream" does not have to be accomplished overnight. Our cruisers will hang with us if we take care of them along the way.
I know that you have a boatload of money in that rig, but when it is spread out over 12 years I bet it is a modest cost considering the capabilities of the vehicle you have now. If you had bought a brand new Detroit- made SUV in 96 and just drove it, what would you have now? A junker and some memories. In contrast, you have a cool rig plus the memories.

Hey dude .. 11 years ago I was in the same boat .. ( thought still in the same boat like you :) ) with my Tencha ..

 dude !

yeah there great trucks im alot closer to the zero end of the numberline but, im still in love and i don't see that changing any time soon.

Sweet, it is cool to see how far the rig has come in all those years. I good luck with the next 12 years and congrats!

Congrats! But you've got me thinkin'...I've been 16 years with mine, yet my rig's progress could be described as 'stunted'...gotta get on that!

Hey, come on now - Toronto wasn't that muddy in '96! (though the 401 does have it's rough sections - it took out my rear suspension last year)

If you ever head East let me know, I'm near Kingston.

Congrats! you give hope to rookies out there!! nice Rig.
