Quirky Bluetooth in LX

Everything connects fine and I even got my phonebook transferred over by using my mac.

Now to the issues.

1 - If I answer the call from my iPhone instead of over hands free, the volume on the stereo never comes back on when the call is over. The radio will shut off for the call and turn back on when the call is disconnected, but no volume will come out of the speakers. I have to turn the car off/on for it to return (powering off the car stereo won't do it).

2 - If I answer the call over the hands free, sound only seems to come over mono through one speaker (drivers door). When I end the call, the stereo volume doesn't come through that speaker until I turn off/on the car. Comes through other speakers fine.

3 - The phonebook looks normal, but my 1-touch dialing is all screwed up. I assigned 1-touch for all my contacts, and now they get randomly assigned to different numbers even though the phonebook has them correct.

Anybody have these same issues or know of a resolution? It seems like a firmware update would have fixed these bugs. Can you update the firmware for the head unit? I've updated Nav maps to 13.1. Is that the problem?

I know bluetooth was brand new in vehicles in 2004, but this makes it unusable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to responses to this as well. Haven't encountered the other issues (that I'm aware of) but our 2004 LX has done that 'kill the stereo until you 'reboot' the truck' after every phone call since we bought it (new).

I recall asking dealer to look at it at once and I think they replaced some components but it was never fixed so we just never used the bt phone feature.

Thinking about putting a parrot in anyway (more for music but phone too I guess)

My stereo very rarely needs me to reboot the truck in my 04' but it has never been a phone connect issue. My phone calls also come through the drivers speaker ONLY. I assumed that's how it was designed since the driver is the one on the phone.

Yep, this happens on my 04 LC as well from time to time. My thought was firmware too, but I have the latest Nav installed. That didn't do it.
