Quikrete mason mix 1136 final color light or dark?

Anyone use this before?

QUIKRETE® - Mason Mix

The mix is pretty dark gray, Im wondering how light it will get once dry. I am trying to re-point a brick wall, but the present mortar on there now is pretty light and I want it to match once re-pointed.

Whats the best way to figure out what the final color will be once dry? Bake in oven?

Baking it will not give an accurate indication as to what it will look like with natural curing.

secondly, there's probably no chance of having an "exact" match, as you have no idea what the mix ratio was when first built.

If you're that concerned, do your point-up, then "skim" all the mortor joints with your new material
