I know this is kind of random, but I want to know if anyone has any idea of the value of my friend's Cruiser.

I was having a beer with a friend of mine last night and we were discussing one of his Cruisers. He said that he might be interested in selling it but he wasn't sure what was a fair price. He has a 1976 (or close) FJ40 from Canada (brought here many, many years ago by this old couple). The truck has something like 27,000 kilometers on it. It has always been kept in a garage and is in pretty much immaculate condition. All original.

I know that is not a lot of info, but does anyone have any ballpark value?

Thanks,

Sean

Just a shot in the dark but if it's LHD, ~16K miles, stock, and immaculate as you describe, I'd say anywhere between $20K on the low end and upwards of $30K on the high side. If the US economy wasn't in the toilet, I'd guess even higher.

Almost forgot to add this. I'll give them 500 American dollars for that old junker. Cash money. I'll even come and haul it away for them. I doubt they'll get a better offer. I can be there tonight. Let me know.

Silly Lee... 500 AMERICAN dollars? Canadians don't want American money; have you seen the exchange rate?

Tell 'em I'll give them 500 Loonies, and a night with my Canadian wife. Or 750 Loonies and two nights, their call... ;)

Id go 500 Toonies...
