K so first problem with the 100. I personally drive a 96' 80-series and recently purchased for my wife a 02' LX470. A couple weeks ago the rear passenger side glass (large piece in the door) spontaneously burst while i was trying to be nice and detail it. So tonight finally got the correct Lexus Factory glass installed. No problems installing it but now when we roll it up it goes into the top channel stops for a fraction of a second like it is supposed to then it automatically rolls down about 6 inches. The only way i was able to roll it up and keep it up was when it was all the way up in the channel i hurried and unplugged the switch on that door.

My question is; Do I need to replace the switch?
Do I need to replace the operator?
Is there some sort of sensor which i may have gotten out of wack?
Has this ever happened to anyone else? (My searches found nothing).

Our 98 LC does the same thing on the front DS.
I was told I need to reprogram it. I can bump it up all the way but auto will make it come back like yours. I believe it's a anti jam thing?

Check the window channel to make sure there isn't anything stuck in there. If it senses that there is a bit of an obstruction, it will drop back down. It's an anti pinch thing. I started getting it when i installed my weathertech window rain shield thingys. Sometimes it will roll up all the way with the auto feature, sometimes i have to hold the button (not all the way to engage the auto up feature).

Try holding the window switch in the drives door all the way up for about 5 seconds when the window is up, this is how I had to reprogram my FJ and Acura.
