Hi Guys,

I'm getting ready to install an electric condensor fan. Quick question: would a 20A startup / 15A steady current draw fan be ok for a stock FZJ80's electrical system? I'm running this through a 30/40A relay. Thanks in adv!

I would say yes. I had two electric radiator fans that ran continuously and drew 25 running amps. That was checked with a meter so should be accurate. Never had a problem with the batteries going down and stock alternator. Keep in mind it depends on what other extra electrical items you may have added on.

I'm getting ready to install the same non-USA condensor fan from CDan. I plan on using a 20 amp fuse and 30 amp relay.

I believe this fan is similar to the condensor fan in other Toyota FWD models. IIRC, Toyota used a 20 amp fuse and 30 amp relay to power it.

I have an extra used OEM wiring connector for it if you need it.
