Hi Mudders!

My son and I have been installing the Hewitt Gen-II 3V SAIS Bypass Kit for an ‘06 Land Cruiser and ran into a little hiccup. The three (3) wires at the end of the bypass kit have to be pushed through the firewall near the ECU. The instructions are not very clear on the pass through options. Has anyone installed the system or any insight on where/how to pass the three wires through? I’ve emailed Hewitt but I figured I’d also reach out to the experts on the forum.

Photo 1 & 2 are of my engine bag. Photo 3 is the Hewitt provided photo

I went through the grommet on Photo 2. It was a little cumbersome, but no issues.

I’ve found the pass through which is under the smaller wiring harness in second photo.

Next issue is to find where the wires ultimately end up in the passenger compartment when passing through the firewall through that nipple

The wires push through below and to the left of the blower motor. You may want to run a protected fishing line through to pull the three wires. That is what I did.

Thanks, 94SRUNNER. It came together pretty quick afterwards. Now, my Lc runs like a kitten

Good to hear! It was the trickiest part for me aside from dealing with the nuts to deal with the block-off plates.

Did you use the scoth locks or solder?
