I'm writing from the Philippines, but I'll soon be back home in northwest Arkansas for a couple of weeks, and that's where my lovely blue 1958 FJ25 resides. I was thinking about replacing its radiator hoses; they all look pretty cracked and feeble with age. Since I'm sure that one cannot just go out and purchase a new set of radiator hoses for an FJ25, I was wondering whether any of you gentlemen have found off-the-shelf hoses available at NAPA or other nationwide auto-parts chains that can be made to fit with minimal cutting. (Last time I was home, I made some notes regarding their shape and dimensions. Just judging from my previous notes, the hose from bottom of radiator to pipe looks easy to find, as does the straight hose from that pipe to the water pump, but the two upper hoses connected to the thermostat housing are curved.)
I'd also sure like to find an original (or close-to-original) steering wheel for this rig, as well as, of couse, top bows and some original manuals (I printed out the owner's manual someone helpfully posted), but I realize such items are "unobtainium". Also need some original-looking seats that will bolt in with the least amount of adaptation work; previous owner installed some silly high-backed seats from a late-model truck. Thanks.
