Question on Purchasing a 2008 LC

I've seen a few without the upgrade package. You can get the nav separate (I have yet to come across one without it) by itself as triplenet posted. However, and correct me if I'm wrong triplenet, but yours does not have items like the rear heated seats, cooler box, and headlight washers, is that correct? I think those were only available in the upgrade package and not offered as stand-alone options.

Correct, I dont think I have rear heated seats nor the cooler and headlight washer... But the front seats are heated........

Here it is - I think its attached

Ok, that is what I thought. Without the "upgrade package" and only the "navigation package", you are missing the following items (more than "just" the rear DVD system):

  • power tilt/telescopic steering wheel
  • leather and simulated wood shift knob
  • rear seat DVD entertainment system (rear 9" LCD screen, two wireless headphones, RCA jacks for game systems or accessories, remote control with holder, input terminal adapter)
  • driver and front passenger pre-crash active seatbelt pretensioning system
  • center-console cooler box
  • second-row multi-stage seat heaters
  • color-keyed rear spoiler (you have this as an add'l option)
  • headlamp washers
The big item on the list that is missing is the pre-crash system....

The cost difference between these packages (MSRP) is $3845.

So it is possible to get a 200 here in the States that does not have the stupid coolbox and the stupid spoiler? I'll have to file it away. Both options are awful.

Sorry - Dont sit around studying build sheets for Land Cruiser/Toyota..... With exception of the Entertainment System those items are not much of an "upgrade" ..... Rather have 4k in my pocket than any of those options.... :D

I picked up mine in April or May for $56k It's 08 and fully loaded had 80 miles when I took it home. Oh and no cuts in my seats either. They are asking way too much for a "new" car with 26000 miles.

Hello All! I've been a Cruiser nut for years, even been lucky enough to watch a couple builds with Gary Waggoner. I am in the market for a 200 and I constantly watch most all car sales sites(ebay, cars.com, autotraders, etc.)and searching the whole nation. But after reading y'alls comments above either 200's are bring more money or I just haven't been looking hard enough. Most all 2008 200s I've seen are asking around 55-60K or more.
I am crazy to think I can find a 2008 with 30,000 miles or less for under 50K?

Cheers!

Obviously, meant am I crazy...sorry for the rookie move.

Totally off topic...but...funny you mention the cut seats. I've never cut my seats in any car or truck I've owned before this cruiser. On this one, I put a bigish gash on the front seat an have two behind the seat of the second row? If it were me, I would have covered behind the second row with hard plastic and not that faux leather.

I'm pretty sure the tough leather on the seats is just on the seating area. Anything behind or on the sides is faux leather. If you add some leather conditioner and then feel the different panels you will be able to tell which are leather, and which are fake. They take the conditioner differently.
