I just purchased a FJ80 and it came with the factory two tone color. Gold and brown. :meh: The secondary color (brown) appears to be a sticker by the feel of it, but I don't want to start picking at it and end up with messed up paint.

My question is, do you guys know if the secondary color is a sticker or have any of you guys successfully removed it yourself?

Mine was silver/ red. And the red was indeed paint. Check your door jams and rocker panels. If there the second colour I'd say paint

The factory silver/red & gold/brown combos are painted at the factory.

These were the first colors Southeast Toyota received in 90 when the 80s hit the states. I've wanted one since. I'm thinking of painting the bottom half of the lx brown once I get the holes filled.

This is a great site. Thank you!

Oh man...kinda sucks that it's paint. Do you guys think I would be hurting the value of the truck by painting it? If it's somewhat OG factory color scheme, I should rock it.

I just purchased my first land cruiser 3 days ago and it is the exact same color scheme as yours. I bought it from the original owner and it has the factory window sticker with it. The two tone paint was listed on it.
