Hi. I’ve got a 100 series and am chasing a popping (singular pop when accelerating, braking, and slight articulation when turning). PO installed Slee diff drop. I’ve replaced pretty much everything in front end suspension. OEM LCAs, SPC UCAs, sway bar links and bushings, OME shocks, OME torsion bars, inner and outer TREs. Steering rack has been replaced with OEM. I’ve also recently changed all the diff bushings. I’ve double checked everything is torqued to spec and I can’t find anything that’s loose on this thing. One thing that’s maybe out of place is on DS diff support arm mount where it is bolted to the diff drop. I noticed when I replaced that diff support arm, there was a washer installed on the mounting bolt (between the busing and the diff drop bracket- see pic for location of washer). It looks like the washer was installed to close a gap, but I don’t see reference to a washer in Toyota parts diagram or in Slee’s instruction. So, should there be a washer here to close the gap, or maybe that washer is creating some binding, leading to a pop? Outside of this, maybe steering shaft / shaft u-joint just above VGRS actuator is worn and creating a pop. But, would upper steering shaft pop when not turning / just accelerating or braking? Or, maybe the sway bar frame mount u-shaped brackets have just enough wear that sway bar is moving around too much- do these brackets wear out? My brackets are bolted down tight to frame. Whatever is popping, it’s definitely in front DS quarter of the vehicle / in front of driver position. Any advice appreciated.
