We're going to be in TAS and NSW in about a month and are planning what gear to take. We'll be renting a car and want to know if the DC (cigarette) outlet is negative ground like the US or if its positive ground. We want to bring Ipod and digital camera battery car chargers and want to make sure they work there.

Cheers,
rt

Ta, we are good to go then.

Careful with your Ipod and camera in Tas and NSW .Most of them are descended from convicts:D

Are you touring around Tas or visiting? Call in and say hi!

We are going to be silly tourists and drive slow in front of you. We will be doing a counter-clockwise tour of TAS (yes, yes, I know, anti-clockwise). LST,Cradle Mtn, Strahan, Hobart, etc......

Then off to Canberra for SummerNats. My husband is in search of the mythical straight 6 Hemi in a Valiant.

I am descended from a long line of horsethieves and gunrunners myself. Family legend says an ancestor got executed because of stealing horses from one part of the German Army and selling them back to another part of the German Army. Made a good wage until he got caught.

Not mythical, I used to own a 265 in a charger could go like the clappers good mpg also.. Was a 265 with an auto, recent recon ,extractors&350 holley.$450.00 in last Saturdays paper. I expect you would be looking for an E38 or E49 motor with the 6 pack webbers though. Few still around and for sale ,should pick up something at the summer nats.Have a great trip.

The 265 were almost as common as its smaller brothers the 225 and 245ci.

The one that everyone wants is the the 6 pack 280-310HP hemi versions with triple 2" webers These are unobtainable but it maybe possible to possible to build one up from the lower HP version.

I think we must be testing Stones patience by now:D

Good move. Counter-clockwise is faster.
