Installed my new Blue Sea battery isolator. I would like for it to be in automatic mode. I think. But the LEDs on the remote switch do not light up. So my guess is that maybe i didnt wire it correctly? Maybe a loose connection? But no time to fix it so the remote works. I mpam leaving for Utah, Canyonlands National Park, tomorrow. And maybe it is just the LEDs. The system does seem to work. Both batteries always show the exact same charge level. I kust want to be able to keep my new, large Dometic fridge going for 3 nights, at two different campsites, without haveing to start up the engine. I will probably hook up my 100w solar panel during the day.
questions:
1. looking at the unit straight on, with yellow switch on top, switch all the way to left side of white label, button pushed down, or recessed, batteries are combined.
2. twist knob a little to the right to release the button in center of yellow switch and batteries are isolated. Does that mean that the starting battery is the only battery that get charge from alternator?
3. with knob, or switch rotated to the right position, to right of white label on front..... what happens in that position? The manual says it only prevents remote operation Of the unit.
which position should i be in? (The manual is inadequate for me, and also seems to have the left and right directions of switching the knob backwards.)
