Someone finally got his Freedom of Information Request delivered this past week after more than a year of waiting. The legal challenge is still going ahead. That is one of the reasons the details of the Freedom of Information Request have not been publicly disclosed yet. It isn't over yet. ;)

It's high time we seriously reconsidered the immunity of our politicians for the damage they cause by their partisan decisions.

If I could join this action, I would definitely do whatever it takes to sue the former transport minister, Lise Boulet, not only for the damage she caused to RHD owners, but review the other damage she's caused by her crass bullying and her ignorance during her tenure.

In the mean time, a buddy of mine has started to buy platable Quebec Landcruisers, figures he can make a good return on investment restoring them and selling them to die hards such as myself who will eventually need to replace their aging trucks ;)

I totally agree with the stance that the government is doing everything it can to remove the "rights of the people" same in the US, maybe more so. Having scanned this thread, I wonder why all the fuss about converting RHD to LHD...its not that hard...almost every truck or car imported here is converted from RHD to LHD upon arrival in the country. The dead give away is the turn signals on the right instead of the left and the windshield wipers on the wrong side. Here I own three trucks, one originally LHD, the other two converted, the only trouble I have is remembering which side the turn signals are on (I put the wipers on a lot). But in reality the point is that when self-serving bureaucrats are allowed to decide what is right and wrong for the people they supposedly serve...the government is out of control. Though I am considered and alien here, I actually have more rights than I did in the US. One of the numerous reasons, but not the deciding one, I moved here....

I am sure there will be some more nice imports coming from your country to Canada. Already there are three Nissan Safaris that I know of. They seem to be in as good of condition or better than the JDM ones.... and they are OEM LHD Safaris. That said, labor and material costs are quite a bit more expensive here. Some people even drive their Land Cruisers all the way to Central America to take advantage of the inexpensive labor and good supply of low/no rust bodies and frames.
