Looking for some direction here as I’m stumped, bit of back ground info.
Used the vehicle on a gravel road in 4WD high, when I disengaged there was now a very loud horrible bearing rumble/vibration. Nursed it home and isolated front and rear axles by removing driveshafts, definitely transfer case or gearbox. Pulled down the transfer case and found the idler shaft bearing picked up, thought sweet this is my issue. Rebuilt the transfer case, and the noise is still there but quieter ? In 2WD high at about 100-110kph can hear it ever so slightly. 4WD high and low can hear it but more apparent in high. Almost sounds like something isn’t fully disengaging possibly ? All 4WD selections work as they should.
