So I put the rims on today and the caps fit perfectly on the back, but won't fit over the hub on the front wheels. However, when I look up the same exact car I have with the same exact rims online I see that somehow he whoever posted this image on google has a cap that fits over the hub. How can I find out what kind of cap that is? Would really prefer not to have to drill out the centers. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't look to have wheel spacers in the pic.
They may have flattened the face of the grease cap on the hub to gain enough clearance.

Is there any downside to having a mechanic drill down the hub grease cap?

Na just an upside of getting the caps on without cutting a hole in it

Before and after pics. Depends on the depth of the center caps whether it gives enough clearance or not.

What did you use to do that?

I found these pics in a search for "flattened grease caps" in this forum so not mine.

You could fit the grease cap over a similar diameter deep socket and carefully hammer it flat.

I am not sure who posted the original pic that you started this forum with but I have the exact same set up with 305 50 20’s. The wheels are replica lx wheels from eBay that included the chrome center caps. To be honest, he is likely running the centercaps without his grease cap/ dust cap just like me.

Those 13' + LX rims look awesome on your hundys! Are you guys finding these on CL nowadays? I want a set in hypersilver.

Typically, you would install a 1.25" spacer to clear the dust cap. Plus it gives the 100 the perfect stance.
