Purg to Scotch Creek to Dolores?

I have to be up at Purgatory this weekend but my family is camping with some other families in Dolores. Is the best way for me to catch up with them to head out behind Purgatory, then take Scotch Creek to 145 and then down to Dolores?

i don't feel like going back down and driving around even though I'll be alone.

What do you guys think?

Yes, I've done this route. That will bring you out closest to Dolores.

No worries on that trail solo. Now that it's dry a Subaru should do it. Bolam to the North would be a little longer but another easy route with a much better view at the top.

Yep, not worried to run it solo, just wanted to make sure it was the quickest. Perhaps I could set a land speed record....Hmmmm.

My times:

Black Bear - 550 to Bridal Veil Falls, 45 minutes
Ophir Pass - Front part of Ophir town (I have a buddy who lives there) to 550, 22 minutes.
