Shocks are mounted at the same angle (straight) and have the same amount of travel now..
Like everything Don does he wanted this to be first class so we rebuilt the front end with all new parts again. Something of note when you buy the parts from cruiser outfitter they include their set of instructions that also has all of the torque specs which is extremely nice if you're a guy like me that likes to torque everything but doesn't rebuild a lot of Toyota front ends so I'm always looking on the internet trusting some random internet expert to give me the right torque specs.
7 try's to get the shock tab angles right, all four were completely different.

I also used their front end kit and found it to be high quality, including the instructions. I already had the FSM pages printed out and cross checked them against their instructions as I went. The only significant difference I found was the knuckle stud torque spec. Their instructions specify 71 ft-lbs and the FSM says 43-54.3 ft-lbs. My theory is that their instructions came from a later FSM when the studs went to 12mm vs the FSM I was referencing with 11mm studs. Just FYI.
Pigeater came to check on me to make sure I'm staying on track, nothing really photo worthy happened today lots of adding oils and changing out shocks kind of stuff.
Set toe and ready to go over nuts and bolts one more time then get it back on its wheels and tires tomorrow.
Don brought me a window and a channel that are in good condition, I'm looking around the shop for some rubber to attach the two.
I found some 1/16" neoprene rubber strip.
Looks like doubled up is just about right so I have a roll of 1/8" coming tomorrow.
Hopefully that's going to work, I'll keep you posted.
"Made in China US" That's a new term for me. Google says it's made in China for the US market. Sounds like an attempt by their marketing manager to deceive.
I will be needing rubber for that application as well. Thanks for posting the info.
I made several versions of this with reverse angles and different diameters to help get into the tight areas, no need to bore you with a bunch of pictures of chopped up rubber wheels.
We have a bit of a glue mess in the door jambs...
So I modified some of those rubber eraser wheels.

got home a few hours ago, wondering what pumpkin spice was up to.
By the way, that Mongolian beef was amazing, first real meal for me since surgery, probably should have left at least 1 piece on plate. Good to see you and your bride, again many thanks!
