So 344090 was on my list but I was leaning toward 343403 as it has a bit more travel. Probably travel I don't need.

344447 has an E1 top mount. Was the front shock tower factory S1 mount changed on this pig?
I don't know what front springs you have but this setup wouldn't move 7.5" unless you dropped out of a plane. The shocks that are on it now have more travel but the bodies are so long they limit up travel making them useless.
On the rears I ordered the E-1 mounts on both sides, I have a machine shop and bushings are easier for me than screwing around looking for the right travel/length and mounting eyes. It will be a 10mm to 16mm or 3/8" to 5/8" bushing if you end up doing the same thing.

Maybe I'm being really obtuse, wouldn't be the first time, but now I'm really confused. I understood that you are going with 344090 for the rear which is an E1/E1 which I think are factory fit for the rear. Those were on my list and will probably also work for my setup.

You said you were going with 344447 for the front which is also an E1/E1 but my front takes an S1 bayonet mount for the top and an E1 for the bottom. So my question is/was, was this pig's front spring top mount changed from bayonet to an eye ring?

why can't you simply install 4-degree caster shims?
for what it's worth (and I have zero expereince with FJ55's but I am a Dobinson's distributor) I find their shackle angles to be way too aggresive on all their offerings, 40, 60 and 70 series. I actually don't really push their leaf spring products at all as a result

As for Dobinsons leaf springs "killing" caster, I would say that is absolutely true, every rig I have seen with them have a -1 or -2 degree caster angle before any corrections
The Dobinson FJ55 lift I installed came with 3 degree shims.

Depending on which LS, that motor is 100-200lbs lighter than the mighty 2F. Is that causing the geometry to be off?
I have a 2F in my pig with the Dobinson lift kit and my shackle angle is almost at 90 degrees. I don't have a fancy angle thingy or even an old school plastic protractor so just my eyeballs. LOL

Dorothy, I don't think we're in KS anymore those upper front shock mounts are stock.

top mount changed
Yes it has a crooked hoop thing on there now that I will be cutting apart and at the very least welding new tabs on straighter, I haven't given it much thought but I've done this enough that fitting the new shocks are going to be the easiest part of my day when I get to it.

Don ordered the "show" Chrome and they laid it on thick, possibly the nicest pot metal handles chromed I've seen, I've used the same guys before but never paid the extra for the show chrome and it is better than their standard job.

I had to file the plungers to get the push buttons to move through the retainers and chipped a section off.
It's was .017" thick on that section, I felt like the holes were all about .030" small so that would make sense. View attachment 4089321View attachment 4089322
I forgot how much fun the rear door handles are to put in, I think I made up some new cuss words today!

The elders used a device called a plumb line. It used a weight suspended by a string to establish a perfectly vertical line (“plumb”).

It was a foundational tool in construction and surveying for ensuring walls, posts and structures were straight up-and down. It is still used today in developing regions.

You can make one with a length of string and nearly any weight sufficient to stretch the string.

Advantages of this ancient technology include: high precision (often surpassing lasers), simplicity, and low cost.

😝
