Sorry to have to bother you guy's about mundane things like this, but I live in a location where there is not a single sophisticated front end alignment provider to be found without going to a very large amount of trouble. The best we got here is a crude toe adjustment system, and a way to measure the camber. The problem I'm experiencing is a constant pull to the right. We have ruled out brake drag, and also rotated the tires around to see if a tire was acting weird. We have done a decent toe adjustment and the camber is near 0 on both. What else could be causing this problem? I would like to know if, when we replaced the two longest springs on the front end, if it could be when we (had to) re-drill the center hold for the long spring, if we were not absolutely laser spot on, would that cause it? I mean like a difference of a couple mm would that be enough? My tie ball joints are not exemplary but they are not that bad either... could just normal wear on steering components cause a pull? Again, wish I could just trot down to the nearest computerized alignment machine but that ain't happening anytime soon. Thanks!

can you get hold of a couple of laser pens - you can rig a crude alignment jig with those.

Well seems that the genius that installed my two leaves in the front pack (because one side was bent) installed the main spring in reverse position... resulting in and inch and a half difference in the forward position of the front tires. They are fixing that now... expletives deleted.

Might try the laser trick in the future, thanks. Meanwhile, discovered they had one of my front main springs reversed, a friggin inch and a half difference (grumble grumble) but switched it around today measures correct, will test it tomorrow.
