About the only body damage that's a turn-off for me on 100s are when the quarter panel is smacked and it splits the seam.
Good to know, I wasn't aware of this. I agree that a dirty CF is good for bargaining, but I'm amazed at how many people take a clean CF at it's word and forego a PPI. Seeing, touching, driving, and putting it up on a lift is still far far better than Carfax, both dirty and clean.
Carfax - one of the most brilliant (and comparatively worthless) inventions ever, I wish I had thought of it.
While I admit I run a carfax on any vehicle I plan to purchase, it is just one more step in the due diligence process for me. I would hate to miss something obvious reported on a carfax report, but I also know it is far from complete. And yet, I remain amazed at how many folks , as RND1 said, think it is a substitute for a PPI or some sort of good-housekeeping-seal-of-approval.
