1tontoy - How/where would you attach the brackets to hold that bar? I don't know what a 60 look like under the skin but I don't imagine there is much to attach to.

Dave - good idea but I've got a diesel.

Now back on topic ... door locks people :)

Could you not hide a kill switch for the EDIC in the cab somewhere? That would prevent the truck from running at all.

I would recommend keeping the external locks off the pass side doors when you are driving. If you roll into your drivers side or get the driver side pinned against somthing you do not have a lot of options. If you are putting security film on the glass your options decrease even more.

Something to keep in mind.

That's a good point. I have tint/UV films on my windows (not specifically for security) and was thinking about keeping a window breaker on each of the A pillars ... but it would probably be smarter to avoid driving with locks on both sides.

I've had that on my rear door for ages, the reason why I did this was because I used to use the cruiser for work and carry a lot of tools in the truck. I had the windows tinted and it worked for a while. Then someone found a rock and stole stuff, but the tint slowed them down as it kept the glass together.
SO I finally got pissed off and built a cage in the back of the truck for all the tools, across all the back windows, and from the back seat to the roof. Between that and the lock on the door no one ever got into the back again. They did break the window up front and stole the stereo, and some other crap.
