Hello i just broke my old cable of my PTO winch this weekend, and ofcourse it broke in the middle:mad:.So it's time to shop around, but i was wondering if somebody uses a rope on the pto and how long and what diameter you use(and problems getting it stuck or not).Or should i just go and buy a new steel winch cable? If so what size how long, and is there a difference between the cables, for example fine woven or not. At last are there any recommendations of where to buy a new cable/rope

PS the cable broke trying to rescue a recently restored HJ 45 that was sliding down, luckely another cruiser friend came to rescue us and pulled the 45 from the front while i pulled the rear back on the track(mine is the golden one)

3/8 x 100ft amsteel blue fit on mine with a aluminum fairlead

Wat is amsteel blue?

And 100ft is about 30 meter right?

I thought Toyota originaly put 50 meter cable on the winch.
