For years I've worked getting the parts needed to install a PTO winch in my Toyota FZJ73 1996 assembled in Colombia.
I have installed the original chassis extensions and winch, however, encounter the problem that the radiator does not allow the installation of the shaft, the radiator is too low, I thought, maybe the solution is to measure the radiator from a FJ73, and if it fits, swap them.
I would like to know if anyone has had this problem and what's your opinion

I think the radiators on vehicles with PTO's have a dish in them to allow the shaft past and also the chassis...
You could just raise the radiator up a bit?

Thanks for your answer, I think the ring exist in the FJ40 but not in the FZJ73, maybe, as the PTO was never option here in Colombia, the ring doesn´t exist.

I believe that the radiator problem is solved by a little climbing brackets, however, I meet the obstacle of the steering damper, the pictures I've seen correspond to RHD cars with the fixed point of the shock absorber is on the left, but I could not find a picture of a truck LHD where the fixed point of the shock absorber is on the right, Can any of you help me with pictures or ideas?

I can see a great difference between the position of the two radiators, the first picture the radiators is above the cross member but on my picture is below, may be is because of the modifications that Japanese engineers made for the region.

Hello
Here are some photos from my BJ70.

Take in mind that I have modified the possition of whe winch some cm backwards.
This causer the separation between the radiation and the shaft to ingrease a bit.
Anather mod you might notice is that i cutted the bridge (not sure if you call this cross member...) and relaced it with an "L" profile (plus 1 non-weld pipe above this L and 2 more in the front.....

In This pic you can see the shaft just above the pittman and below the radiator intake.

A little bit of zoom. Way above the steering dumper.

On the Following pics, notice that the radiatios finishes almost the same as the A/C radiator....

Pablosubo, thanks for the info and the pictures, my conclusion is that I have to change the radiator, it´s the only way the driveshaft can pass through the radiator to reach the PTO
