My theory is the added volume of fluid, essentially creating a bigger reservoir, provides much of the benefit.

yea, i have never had a problem either.... my pump is not even in the truck, it's in the shed out back with the smog pump and other removed items.
 
Mine gets used as a PS pump, not a door stop ;)


Jim is right, a lot of the benefit comes from teh additional fluid. a remote res would help a lot too..
 
Thanks for the ideas-glad to see & hear other ways of thinking.

Now if I could just get the header to seal...:doh:
