This is my second installment, as if you care
Last time I showed the "new to me" faded red 60, hence the name "Pink".
Started the rust abatement in earnest today by making a cardboard template of the rear quarters, and then cutting them. While at it, I cut the lower quarters ala TheFerg, and will fab up some protection down there when I get around to bumpers. For the time being, it's cut out the cancer.
I'm going to attempt to maintain the contour of the original metal with the sheet that I weld in...not sure how long that idea will last once I start trying to shape sheetmetal. The back-up plan is to get it straight and seal it, then Durabak or similar textured finish along the lower contour line, and tan or brown Krylon upwards.
As long as the rust is gone, it will be beautiful to me!
