I’ll get some pictures this weekend of the dove. There might be a slim chance that some battery could have fit somewhere under the hood, but I had other reasons for putting it under the bed. Big things like rocks and trees always seem to jump out in front of me while I’m in the woods, I didn’t want any chance of bent up metal contacting the battery, it almost happened once. Secondly, I eventually plan to remove more of the body from the front, and relocate the radiator to the rear so the battery would have have to go back there at some point anyways.I've look at the 24R battery & it easily could be rotated 90° to allow room to dovetail or at least make room to trim fenders up for biggers tires. I've only seen three 80s dovetail so far. The 80s are legends already & people are getting more bold to cutting fenders nowadays.
Great build, keep posting the adventures.
