Hey y'all! I just bought a 2002 Tacoma a few weeks ago as the daily driver to my rig so I just thought I'd share a little. I bought it off the original owner a little old lady, her son was a tech at Toyota so it's always been maintained, never seen anything but m1synthetic in everything, came with a 2" stack of receipts including the original window sticker :-)

The pics above are from the day I bought her, then I bought the lift! It's an ome complete 3" I later bought the diff drop that I installed today and ordered the cb rear drop bracket from Brian at street tacos

Here's after the lift

Nice for a DD. Any other plans? Body armor? Tube bumpers?

You DID do the gray wire mod, right? I did that the day I bought my TRD

Well that was a bit of a holy grail as far as Tacoma's go. Nice find!

Are you going to use it for trail riding/camping as well? I'm asking since a lift and KM2s on a daily driver kind of makes it a worse daily rig as far as fuel economy and ride quality. Please don't take that as criticism, I was just curious. Again, awesome rig...I had a black '03 for a while and loved it.

Nice, I miss the 98 TRD 5 speed I used to have. I'm tempted to do something similar to my 05 double cab but the gas mileage already sucks bad enough. Only way I could really justify it would be if I sold the FJ40 which isn't going to happen.

I get 20 around town in an 03 V6 TRD xcab with 32" BFG ATs and a 5 speed. But I only get 16 on the highway. I'm not kidding, I have to drive it like an old man to get 20 city. But I can't drive below 60 on the highway, thus the bad mileage at speed...

The old strut and tires were worn out so why not upgrade? Lol yes I'm going to put a tube bumper up front and maybe some sliders so the girl can get into it lol, I don't have much of a commute (2 miles to work) so gas mileage isn't a big deal

Boy, such enthusiasm!!! I'm happy for you!

Well, if you like your truck now, just wait until you get it out where it was designed to go!!! :bounce::cheers:

Lol, it will very rarely be wheeled, mostly fire roads to go shooting and camping, I have my big toy if I wanna do some serious wheeling

Yea, I just filled up so we will see how mileage goes, if it's that bad I'll just install some 4:56's, oh yea the grey wire mod is done also
