here's an example of one from the 80-series:
Not quit a trip to the beauty parlor
My hood was starting to look like hell. Lots of white streaks and spots and it was starting to detreriorate very quickly. Upon wiping it with some wax and grease remover, I noticed that the color was still there and is was just the clear coat fading. I went to NAPA, purchased a $30 can of automotive Clear Coat, removed the hood, wet sanded with 600 grit, buffed the hood and applied the clear coat. The total time involved was about 3 hours and $30 in materials + $10 for the neighbor kids help. I think it looks 100 times better now
does anyone else see this? this isn't something recent and isn't that big of a deal but if it's easy to fix I'd love to see it fixed.
