problem after pin 7 mod

after performing the pin 7 mod (center dif remains unlocked in 4 low) i went to a parking lot and shifted into 4 low and the center diff locked and would not unlock at all, (4 low, 4 high, button in or out) nothing i did would unlock the center diff, i confirmed that it was actually locked as the drive train was binding in the parking lot. i limped it across the street to my house and tried disconnecting the battery to try to reset it. no go. I had to undo the pin 7 mod to get the center diff unlocked. I am stumped and was looking forward to a using 4 low unlocked when needed.

Any ideas or comments?

Maybe you pulled the wrong wire? Take a picture of the "pin 7" you pulled.

It is all put back together and was the black wire with the blue tracer......
