From the ad for the "pristine" cruiser, obviously has some issues from the start.....with "character marks"......anyone have issues with kaymar?

"Note about the KayMar bumper, the powder-coating is the worse I have ever seen. They should be ashamed of themselves over there, and I see a good reason for a class-action suite. Regarding the ARB, it has some dings on it but that's why it's there. In the Airstream trailer world, they call them "character marks". "

So he's adding the $6k he spent on goodies+labor and the $6k for a drive train rebuild, and the value of the truck? Who did his appraisal ?

Based on the description alone makes me think the guy is a bit naive, But i'm giving him the benefit of doubt as I have no seen pics yet.

here are some pics...anyone suggest a true asking price for this truck ?

Just depends...... like harper28 (here on mud) just sold his Turbo FJ62, not sure exact price but the owner now is reselling it for $6500 1988 fj62 Landcruiser . Like I know myself, you never recover money you invest in aftermarket parts. I'd say a clean 62 would go from anywhere between 2-7k, 2k being in need of work, rusty, etc, 4k a nice daily driver, 6-7k a super nice lightly modified. Anything more would need lockers, SOA, Diesel, etc. Just my opinion. Looks nice, I see a dent up front? I bought my 62 that had OME lift, ARB bumpers with tire carrier, spider lockers, super super super clean for around $7500 I can't see this one being sold for much more.

This is a 6k truck. It has some dings, but who cares. The big issues are the engine-the 3FE is a terrible engine for an 'expedition truck', as it is so thursty. Without a 40 gallon tank the range is way too small.
The AAMCO transmission will fail in another 30 k miles. And paying 6k for a rebuilt proves the owner a complete moron, as for much less than that he could have one rebuilt by Rodney including an extreme valve body. It says nothing about a transfer rebuilt, and apparently the axles have not been done. Additionally there are bunch of issues like windows and locks.
The most valuable part is the rust free body.
6k max.
