Hello,

So have a question regards to what is okay for me to pay a decent shop for the following work: I just don't know what is a fair price vs over price

Priority:
Full front seal
Oil pan seals
Trans pan seal
Full rear brakes
Power steering hose
All those fluids would have to be changed

Secondary: Axle seals / rear passenger window motor swap/

I would not be surprised for the bill for the first 6 on the list to be around, if not over, $3k. That's just a seat-of-the-pants estimate. And I really don't know what some of those jobs are- I assumed a 'full front seal' was the front axle, but then your secondary list includes something called 'axial seals', so I guess 'full front seal' could be the engine seals. You want one power steering hose, or all 4? Does full rear brakes include replacing the calipers and rotors? Brake lines? E-brake rebuild + shoes? I assume you want to do the coolant as well, as they will probably pull the rad for some of those things.

Thanks, here is a more descriptive

Front seal is the engine and All three of the normal, main, oil pump and dist, the axle is the front seals on each side, brakes are rear and full pads+drums, not lines. Oil pan upper lower, transmission pan, driver rear window motor.

I was quoted 6700, I get its a lot of labor, just thought that was high.

Are you aware that the rear brakes are disc, plus the emergency brakes are drums? And frankly, you still didn't explain your list- which power steering stuff? Does that estimate include parts? I could see $6700, but hard to say when the description is so vague. In any case, that's a ****ton of work, and I doubt anyone on here is going to take the time to itemize it to give you an estimate- but I could be wrong. If you want some real world advice, take it to some more shops and get some estimates.

Yes I’m aware, the power steering is one hose, and the quote is with parts. I get it’s mostly labor. Some of the work I can do myself, but so busy, it’s difficult to get the time, which is a good thing. Just looking for advice, not necessarily an itemized breakdown.
