Hey everyone,
I'm close to pulling the trigger on 2015 LC with 230k miles and I could use some advice.
This is a three owner Texas truck with a stellar record of service. The dealer is asking $30k. I'm aware that radiator, starter, and water pump will likely need attention sooner than later. Interior is very clean and the truck looks great otherwise.
The second owner of the truck appears to have put about 37k miles/year on avg. I just noticed that there's a hitch, and now I'm wondering if that person was pulling a camper around the country. I got some detailed pics of the hitch, which I've put here. Looks fairly well used to me, but I've not done much towing myself, so maybe I'm wrong.
Would appreciate all thoughts on this package and price and in particular the hitch question. I'm supposed to go see it in person tomorrow and do the deal. :)
Much appreciated!

That looks like a pretty light-weight hitch to me. I couldn't imagine them pulling some huge trailer around the country with that.

Check for water leak
If they wont open this up for you to visually inspect then pass.

Take it for a (another) test drive and pay close attention to the transmission. Use the manual shifter, low speed through high speed, and use it to down-shift into 1. Use the auto shifter. It should be very smooth. Lots of people on this forum do a lot of towing in their 200's. So doing so is normal and these vehicles are very capable, towing or not towing. If the engine and/or transmission give you a scent that something is amiss, then that should be addressed... or you can walk away and find another one.

A 2015 for $30k from Texas is probably sold already🤪

I leave mine on 24/7 and I almost never tow. Figured it'll dissuade careless parking lot drivers from tapping my rear bumper.
