She is sitting in my driveway. Titled, registered, and tagged. Put probably 150 miles on this weekend with no issues. Just got off the phone with Toyota publications and ordered the "repair manual" - which I assume/hope is the same as the factory service manual. I plan to change out all fluids and touch up the rust at the windshield and near the exhaust. Then just drive her for a bit. I know there are some seals that could stand to be replaced too, so that's on the list eventually.

Went and saw George this weekend who you recommended for bodywork. He didn't think much of the rust I showed him and recommended I treat it myself. Said he uses rust-mort to convert. I had planned on using POR which, as he educated me, encapsulates the rust. He didn't seem to have a preference one way or the other. He used his paint thickness meter (a magnet on a calibrated, sprung tube - pretty handy) and went over the fenders to see if he could find filler. None in the usual spots which was good, but all along the DS A pillar and up into about 4 inches of the hood, there was some. I wasn't too excited about that, but again, he didn't seem too concerned. I guess it is what it is. He speculated it was due to body damage and not a rust repair. He DID say it was the 'cleanest' he had ever seen, but I don't know how many landcruisers he's looked at.

I'm sorry I didn't give you a ring while I was up in Great Falls. It completely slipped my mind.
